Strength (g/L) of H 2 SO 4= 4.9/100×1000=49

Molarity= Strength/Mol.mass = 49/48

=0.5 M

Normality=n×Molarity

n= mol.mass/ eq.mass= 98/49 =2

Normality=2×0.5=1.0

Hence, the H 2 SO 4 solution is 1 N.
