Explanation:

9.8%w/w h2so4 solution means 9.8g of h2so4 is present in 100g h2so4 solution

density=1.2g/cm³

1g/cm³=1000g/L

1.2g/cm3=1200g/L

mass of solution=100g

so volume of solution=0.0833L (V=d/m)

no of moles of sulfuric acid=mass/molar mass

=9.8/98=0.1mol

molarity=moles os solute/volume of solution inL

=0.1/0.0833=1.2M

NORMALITY=MOLARITY × BASICITY

for acids

basicity=no of H+ions present in 1 molecule of

acid

for H2SO4 BASICITY=2

=2×1.2=2.4N
