Molecular wt. of HCl = 1 + 35.5 =36.5 g
As Molarity = (given wt. of solute/Molecular wt. )*(1000/volume of solution)
=(1.17/36.5) * (1000/1)
[as strength of HCl in solution is 1.17g / ml
thus, volume of solution is 1 ml]
on solving,
you will get the Molarity,which is = 32.05 M

Simplified formula using relation b/w molarity and strength of solution is
Molarity= (w\v)%*10/GMM of solute.
M=(1.17/1000)*10/36.5
=32M
