Here we have values :

V₁ = 500 mL = 0.5 L

M₁ = 2.5 M

V₂ = 0.5 L

Putting values we get :

M₃ ( 0.5 + 0.5 ) = ( 2.5 × 0.5 ) + ( 2 × 0.5 ) M

= > M₃ ( 1 ) = 1.25 + 1 M

= > M₃ = 2.25 M

Hence we get required answer.
