CONCEPT:

mole fraction of A =no of moles of A/(no of moles of both A and B)

mole fraction of A+mole fraction of B=1

Explanation:

no of moles of CO2=22/44=0.5 moles

no of moles of water=54/18=3 moles

so,

molefraction of carbon dioxide=0.5/0.5+3=0.5/3.5=1/7

molefraction of water=1-(1/7)=6/7
