Normality =
 \frac{73}{36.5}  \times 1 \times  \frac{1}{5}
=
 \frac{2}{5}
= 2.5

kakshilpatel3p3clym: its wrong
kakshilpatel3p3clym: answer is 0.4
chelsy02: how?.. plz explain
kakshilpatel3p3clym: sure
kakshilpatel3p3clym: equivalent weight of hcl=36.5/1=36.5 [by the formula molar mass/basicity]
kakshilpatel3p3clym: then.....
kakshilpatel3p3clym: normality=weight of solute/equivalent weight*volume of solution
kakshilpatel3p3clym: therefore 73/36.5*5 which is equal to 4
chelsy02: oh yeah... i forgot 2/5= 0.4.... sorry wait im just editing it...its mistake in the last line... and again sorry..!! :(
