Correct question:-

Calculate the number of moles in 2400g of CaCO₃.

Given:-

→Mass of CaCO₃ = 2400g

To find:-

→Number of moles present in 2400g of CaCO₃.

Solution:-

In CaCO₃, three elements are present i.e. Calcium, Carbon and Oxygen.

•Atomic mass of Calcium(Ca) = 40u

•Atomic mass of Carbon (C) = 12u

•Atomic mass of Oxygen (O) = 16u

Thus, molecular mass of CaCO3:-

= 40 + 12 + 16×3

= 52 + 48

= 100u

We know that, molar mass is the molecular/atomic mass in grams.

Thus, molar mass if CaCO is 100g.

Now, let's calculate the number of moles.

No of moles = Given mass/Molar mass

= 2400/100

= 24 moles

Thus, 24 moles are present in

2400g of CaCO.
