Hey there!!

Monoatomic means one atom....

So 22.4l contains 1 mole

=) 5.6 l contains = ¹/22.4 × 5.6 = ¼ mole = 0.25 mole

#For diatomic: It contains two atoms

That is moles becomes double

= no of moles = 0.25 × 2 = 0.5 mole.

Hope it will help u

22.4 litres of a gas indicates 1mole.

so, 5.6 litres of the gas means 0.25 moles.

Number of atoms in 0.25 moles of monoatomic gas = 1 x 0.25 x Avogadro                                                                                                                 number
                                                                                  = 0.25 x 6 x 10²³

                                                                                  = 1.5 x 10²³ atoms
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number of atoms in 0.25 moles of a diatomic gas = 2 x 0.25 x Avogadro
                                                                                                      number
                                                                               = 0.5 x 6 x 10²³

                                                                               = 3 x 10²³ atoms
