22.4L of any gas at STP contains 1 mole of the gas.

a)22.4L of CO2 makes 1 mole of CO2
then,1.12L of CO2 makes = ?
       = 1.12 x 1/22.4 = 0.05 moles of CO2

b)22.4L of N2 makes 1 mole  of N2
then,112L of N2 makes = ?
   = 112 x 1/22.4 = 5 moles of N2

c) 22.4 L of O2 makes 1 mole of O2
then2.24L of O2 makes = ?
   = 2.24 x 1/22.4 = 0.1 mole of O2

a) 1.12 L of {CO}_{2}

No. of moles of {CO}_{2}

  • \frac{1.12~×~10-³~L}{22.4~L}
  • 5 moles of {CO}_{2}

b) 112 L of {N}_{2}

No. of moles of {N}_{2}

  • \frac{112~×~10-³~L}{2.24~L}
  • 0.005 moles of {N}_{2}

c) 2.24 L of {O}_{2}

No. of moles of {O}_{2}

  • \frac{2.24~×~10-³~L}{22.4~L}
  • 0.0001 moles of {O}_{2}
