Remember this- Number of particles= number of moles × 6.022×10^23
Here we r given 0.2 moles of carbon so,
Number of particles= 0.2 × 6.022×10^23
=1.2044 × 10^23
Also note that number of moles=mass of given substance÷molar mass of the substance
Hope it helps u!!

Given: 0.2 moles of C.

To find: We have to find the number of particles.

Solution:

To determine the number of particles we have to follow the below steps-

Carbon has a valancy of 4 and the atomic number 6.

One mole of Carbon contains 6.023×10^{23} number of particles.

0.2 mole of Carbon contains 6.023×10^{23}×0.2=1.2×10^{23} number of particles.

0.2 mole of Carbon contains 1.2×10^{23} number of particles.
