Calculate p.e of mass 50kg raised to height of 4m above the ground. If the object falls down what is the K.E when it is falling through 2m. What is the velocity of the object when it just touches the ground​

Answer:

PE = 2000 J

KE = 1000 J

Explanation:

PE = m × g × h

= 50 × 10 × 4

= 500 × 4

= 2000 J

KE = 1/2 × m × v²

We should find the velocity when the body is raised to 2m.

From 3rd equation of motion:-

- = 2gh

= v² = 2gh

= v² = 2 × 10 × 2

= v² = 40

KE = 1/2 × m × v²

= 1/2 × 50 × 40

= 25 × 40

= 1000 J
