Calculate pH of 10^(-1) moles of HCl solution at room temperature.

Here is your answer:

  HCl   ⇄  H⁺  +  Cl⁻

Number of moles of HCl = 0.1 moles..

So, No . of moles of H⁺   = 0.1 moles.

We know that, 

pH = - ㏒[H⁺] 

     = - ㏒ [0.1]
 
     = -㏒ (1) + ㏒(10)

     = 1 

Therefore pH Value is 1 for HCl solution.
