Answer : The pH of decimolar solution is, 5

Solution : Given,

Concentration of the solution = 10^{-3}M      (1decimolar=10^{-3}molar)

That means the initial concentration of solution = 10^{-3}M

When the initial concentration of the solution is diluted 100 times then the concentration of the solution will be,  \frac{10^{-3}M}{100}=10^{-5}M

[H_3O^+]=10^{-5}M

Now we have to calculate the pH of the solution.

pH=-\log [H_3O^+]

pH=-\log (10^{-5}M)

pH=5

Therefore, the pH of decimolar solution is, 5
