The answer is option (3) 750 watt

GIVEN

Acceleration due to gravity, a = g/2

Weight of block = 10 grams

TO FIND

Power generated by tension in the string in first 2 seconds of motion.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

Tension -weight = ma

Where, m = mass of the block

a = acceleration due to gravity.

T - 10g = 10 × g/2

T = 150 N

We know that,

u = 0 m/s

Applying the second equation of motion

s = ut + 1/2 (at²)

= 1/2 × (10/2) × 2 × 2

= 10 meters

Work = Force × distance

= 150 × 10

= 1500 Jule

Applying the formula to calculate power.

Power = Work/Time

= 1500/2 = 750Watt

Hence, The answer is option (3) 750 watt
