As far as stature, 500 hPa is around 5,500 meters (18,000 feet) over the ground.
The highest point of that piece of the climate in which our climate is framed is known as the tropopause and is at around 11,000 meters (35,000 feet).
The 500 hPa level is, in this way, adequately most of the way up the environment as we probably am aware it.
