Given :

  • Force applied = 60 N
  • Length = 10m
  • Width = 120 cm = (120/100) m

To find :

Pressure produced

Formula used :

◈ Area = Length × Width

◈ Pressure is defined as Force applied per unit area

➠ Pressure= Force ÷ Area of surface

Solution :

◈ Area = 10 × (120/100)

➠ Area = 12 m²

◈ Pressure = Force ÷ area

➠ Pressure = 60 ÷ 12

➠ Pressure = 5 N/m² = 5 Pa

ANSWER :

Pressure = 5 N/m² = 5 Pa
