hey friend here is your answer...

_______________________________

the formulae of any radius of an orbit is = 0.529×n^2/z .

so the radius of the third orbit of hydrogen is = 0.529×3^2/1=4.761 Å. ......where n= no of orbit and z= atomic number.

Given :

Radius of first Bohr orbit of hydrogen atom = 0.53Å = 0.53 × 10^{-10} m

To Find :

Radius of third orbit of hydrogen atom

Solution :

The relation between the radius of 'n'th orbit of hydrogen atom (R_n) and the radius of first orbit of Hydrogen atom (R) is given as -

          R_{n} = n² × R

As per question, R = 0.53 × 10^{-10} m and n = 3

Radius of third orbit of Hydrogen atom (R_3) = 3² × 0.53 × 10^{-10}

                                                                          = 9 ×  0.53 × 10^{-10}

                                                                          = 4.77 × 10^{-10} m

                                                                          = 4.77 Å

∴ Radius of third orbit of Hydrogen atom (R_3) is 4.77 Å.
