instead of considering frequencies of the corresponding classes

we consider the lower class limit of smallest class(first class) as smallest value and upper class limit of biggest class (last class)

so here first(small) class=30-50

it's lower class limit=30

this our smallest value=30

similarly here biggest(last) class=90-110

so it's upper class limit =110

thus our largest value=110

hence we know that

range=largest value-smallest value

=110-30

=80

thus the range of given data is 80
