calculate re(z) z=i-root 3 . answer = 1 . how?

Answer:
Can't do Greek letters in html, so instead of theta, I'm using t throughout. Can't do square roots either, so will use, e.g. sqrt(3) for `the square root of three'. Can't do the `in the set' symbol either, so will write `z in C' for `z is a complex number'.
Example 1: convert the complex number i to polar form
i = 0 + 1 i = r ei t. Find r and t.
Now, r2 = (real part)2 + (imag. part)2 = 02 + 12 = 1 and hence modulus, r = 1.
Turning to the argument, t:
t = arctan (imag. part/real part) = arctan (1/
