Answer :

Mass of water = 10g

Initial temperature = 30°C

Final temperature = 40°C

We have to find heat required to raise temperature of water.

Specific heat of substance is defined as the heat required to increase temperature of 1g substance by 1°C.

Specific heat of water = 1 cal/g °C

Formula : Q = mcΔT

Let's calculate :D

➢ Q = mcΔT

➢ Q = 10 × 1 × (40 - 30)

➢ Q = 10 × 10

Q = 100 cal
