Calculate the acceleration due
to gravity on the surface of moon if mass of
the moon is 1/80 times that of the Earth and
diameter of the moon is 1/4 times that of the
Earth (g =9.8 m/s)​

g=GM/R2^....... 1

M=1/80M

R=1/4R

=1/80M÷1/(4R)2^

= 1/80M÷ 1/16R2^

By cancelling 16 and 80 by 16×5

We get GM1/5÷R2^

=(GM/R2^)1/5

substitute 1 here

We get g/5
