Calculate the acceleration of a body which starts from rest and travels 87.5m in 5sec ?

Using 2nd equation of motion,
s=ut +1/2at^2
since, u = 0
s = 1/2at^2
a = 2s / t^2
a = 87.5 * 2 / 5^2
hence,
acceleration = 7 m/s^2

a =acceleration
u =initial velocity
v =final velocity
s =displacement
t =time
according to question
u =0 m/sec
t=5 sec
s =87.5 m
we will apply equation 2
s =ut +1/2 at ^2
87.5 =0×5 +1/2 a (5^2 )
87.5 =1/2 a (25 )
87.5 =a 12.5
87.5 /12.5 =a
7 =a
so ,7 m /sec^2 is acceleration
