s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}  \\  \\ 87.5 = 0 \times 5 +  \frac{1}{2} \times  a  \times {5}^{2} \\  \\ 87.5 = \frac{1}{2} \times  a  \times 25 \\  \\ a =  \frac{87.5 \times 2}{25}  \\  \\ a = 7 \: m {s}^{ - 2}


Acceleration is 7 m/s^2
