Given :

Mass of trolley = 60kg

Applied force = 360N

To Find :

We have to find acceleration of trolley.

Concept :

As per newton's second law of motion, Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration.

Force is a polar vector quantity having both magnitude as well as direction.

Mathematically, F = ma

Calculation :

➝ F = ma

➝ 360 = 60a

➝ a = 360/60

a = 6m/s²

Given ,

  • Mass (m) = 60 kg
  • Force (f) = 360 N

As we know that ,

The Newton's second law of motion states that the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the applied force

Force ∝ ΔP/t

Force = kΔP/t

Where , k = constant = 1

Force = m(v - u)/t

  \boxed{ \sf{Force = ma}}

Thus ,

360 = 60 × a

a = 360/60

a = 6 m/s²

Therefore , the acceleration of the trolley is 6 m/s²
