Answer:

1kg=1000g

250g=0.25kg

Force=ma

a=force /mass

1/0.25

100/25

4m/s^2

Given :-

  • Mass (m) = 250 g
  • Force (F) = 1 N

To find :-

  • Acceleration = ?

Solution :-

  • Firstly, convert mass from g into kg. [ Both the units should be same ]

1 kg = 1000 g

= \sf\dfrac{250}{1000}

\sf{=~0.25~kg}

As we know,

  • \sf{F~=~ma}

So,

  • \sf{Acceleration~=~\dfrac{Force}{Mass}}

Put the given values :-

= \sf\dfrac{1}{0.25}

= \sf\dfrac{100}{25}

= \sf{4~{ms}^{-2}}

  • Acceleration = 4\sf{{ms}^{-2}}

Know more :-

Newton :-

  • When a body of mass 1 kg, moves with an acceleration of 1 m/s^2, then the force acting on the body is called one newton.
  • 1 newton (N) = 1 \sf{{kgms}^{-2}}

Acceleration :-

  • The rate of change of velocity of a body is called Acceleration.
  • Its S.I. unit is \sf{{ms}^{-2}}
