Answer:

u=0, v=24 m/s, t=30 sec

v=u+at

24=0+a×30

a=24/30

a=4/5 m/s

★Given:-

  • A car starts from rest (u = 0)
  • Travels at 24m/s (v = 24m/s)
  • Time = 30seconds

★To find:-

  • The acceleration.

★Solution:-

Using the formula,

V = u + at

Where,

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • t = time

Substituting values in the formula,

➔V = u + at

➔24 = 0 + a(30)

➔a = 24/30

a = 0.8m/s²

Hence, the acceleration is 0.8m/s².

Know more:-

To derive the components like displacement(s), velocity (initial and final), time(t) and acceleration(a),we use the equations of motion given below.

  • v = u + at
  • v² - u² = 2as
  • s = ut + 1/2at²

These equations can only be used when acceleration is constant and motion is a straight line.

➺Acceleration = Change in velocity/Time Taken

➺Distance = Velocity × Time.

➺Average velocity = (u+v)/2
