Given :

  • heating 200 kg of limestone
  • heating 90% pure \sf{CaCo_3}

To find :

  • calculate the amount of cao in kg

solution :

200 kg of 90% pure means,

\implies 90/100 x 200 = 180 kg

\sf{CaCo_3}\xrightarrow{\quad \Delta \quad} ⠀⠀⠀⠀CaO ⠀+ ⠀ \sf{Co_2}

(40 + 12 + 3 x 16) ⠀ (40 + 16)

100 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 56

180 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀W

100 g of \sf{CaCo_3} on heating gives 56 gram of lime

180000 g of \sf{CaCo_3} on heating will give lime

\implies \Large\sf\frac{56\: x\: 180000}{100}

\implies 100.8 kg

\implies the amount of CaO is 100.8kg

200kg of 90% pure CaCo3 = 90/100×200

= 180 kg

CaCo3 Cao + Co2

(40+12+3×16) (40+16)

100 56

180 W

100g of CaCo3 on heating gives 56g of lime,

180000g of CaCo3 on heating will give

56×180000/100 = 100.8kg

Amount of Cao is 100.8 kg

Hope it helps!!

Thank you ✌️
