total molecular weight of CO2 = molecular weight of carbon + molecular weight of dioxygen

= 12g + 32g = 44g

i.e 1 mole of carbon(6g) and 1 mole of oxygen I.e O2 (32 g ) produce 44 g of carbon dioxide
