Calculate the amount of carbon dioxide that could be produced when 1 mole of carbon is burnt in air 1 mole of carbon is burnt in 16 gram of dioxygen

The balanced Chemical equation for the burning of carbon is

1.) => So, from the above equation CO2 produced from the burning of 1 mole of carbon = 44g .

2.) => When 16 g of dioxygen is available , it can combine with 0.5 mole of Carbon . Therefore CO2 produced = 22 g .

3.)=> Here again 16 g of dioxygen can combine only with 0.5 mole carbon . Hence , CO2 produced = 22 g
