CaCO3 →CaO+CO2

Molar mass of CaCO3 =40+12+16×3=100 g

According to the balanced reaction 100 g of CaCO3 produces 1 mol of CO2 i.e. 22.4 L at STP.

∴50g CaCO3 will produce 22.4/100 ×50=11.2 L CO2 at STP.
