No. of moles in 32 g methane = 32/16 = 2 moles

CH₄ + 2O₂ → CO₂ + 2H₂O

one mole of methane on complete combustion gives one mole of CO₂ and 2 moles of water

If 2 moles of methane on complete combustion gives 2 x 2 = 4 moles of water is produced
