Given:

Mass of the body = m = 10kg

Height of the body = h = 20m

To find:

Amount of work done in lifting a body

Solution:

g = 9.8m/s²

Using the formula of work done -

W = mgh

Substituting the values -

W = 10 × 9.8 × 20

W = 200 × 9.8

= 1960 J

Answer: The amount of work done in lifting a body is 1960 J
