Explanation:

We know that, refractive index= sin i/ sin r        [here i=∠ of incidence, r =                                                                                                 ∠of refraction]                So, √3 = sin i/ sin 30°

                       √3 = sin i/ 1/2

                      so, sin i = √3 * 1/2

                            sin i = √3/2

                  clearly, sin i = sin 60°

So ,angle of incidence = 60°

Answer:

Explanation:

Given that,

Angle of refraction = 30° = r

Refractive Index = √ 3

Let, Angle of Incidence = i

We know that,

Refractive index = sin i / sin r

So, √ 3 = sin i / sin 30

So, √ 3 = sin i / ( 1 / 2)

So, sin i = √ 3 / 2

So, i = 60°

Hence, angle of incidence is 60°
