Given line is : x + y = 10
Now,
for the given equation,
Put x = 0 then y = 10 (0,10)
and
Put y = 0 then x = 10 (10,0)
Plot the points on the graph as in the attachment given.
The shaded region is the required area.
Now, the shaded region is a right angled triangle.
Area of triangle AOC = 1/2 × OB × OA
= 1/2 × 10 × 10
= 50 sq.units
