Draw an imaginary line from A to(say E)E.
So ABCE is a rectangle
Area of rectangle=12×8=96 cm sq.
ADE is a traiangle
with base =(20-12)=8cm
and height=8 cm
area of triangle= 1/2×8×8=32cm sq.
Area of the given fig.=96+32
=128cm sq.
