calculate the area of a rectangle if one side is greater than its adjacent side by 1cm. The perimeter of this rectangle is 14cm and the diagonal is 5cm.

Length=x
Breadth=x+1
Perimeter =2(x+x+1)=2(2x+1)=4x+2=14
4x=12:x=3
Length=3;breadth=4
Area =3(4)=12cm^2
