area of triangle = 1/2 ×base × height

= 1/2 × 4 ×4

= 2×4

=8

Firstly, As all sides of triangle are equal. therefore, It will form equilateral triangle with all sides of 4 units. Now using the formula

 \sqrt{3}  \div 4 \times \: a {}^{2}

you will get your answer

4 \sqrt{3}
