Area of equilateral triangle = 3 ×each side
Apply the formula
Then Area = 3× 8cm
=24 cm

Solution

In a equilateral triangle all sides are equal ,

The area of the triangle A = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}  a^{2}, where a = 8cm.

A=\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} x 8x8 cm^{2}

A=\sqrt{3}/2 × 64 cm^{2}

A= 16\sqrt{3}cm^{2}.

The area of equilateral triangle with side length 8cm is A= 16\sqrt{3}cm^{2}.
