  • The given figure of Quadrilateral is of a Rectangle.

Area of Outer Rectangle =

= Length × Breadth

= 45 × 30

= 1350 sq. m

Length of the Inner Rectangle =

= 45 - (1.5 + 1.5)

= 45 - 3

= 42 m

Breadth of the Inner Rectangle =

= 30 - (1 + 1)

= 30 - 2

= 28 m

Area of Inner Rectangle =

= Length × Breadth

= 42 × 28

= 1176 sq. m

Area of the Shaded Region =

= ar(Outer Rectangle) - ar(Inner Rectangle)

= (1350 - 1176) sq. m

= 174 sq. m

∴ The Area of the Shaded Region is

174 sq. m.
