The number of complete squares = 11

The number of squares more than the half = 9

The Total number of squares = 11 + 9 = 20

Area of the 1 square = 1cm\times1cm=1cm^21cm×1cm=1cm

2

Area of 20 square = 20cm\times1cm=20\ cm^220cm×1cm=20 cm

2

Therefore, approximate area of irregular lamina = 20\ cm^220 cm

2
