Calculate the area of the rectangle of the side of which is 4 m(metres) and 8 dm(decametres).

As we know that:

1dm = 10cm

1m = 100cm

So, first we will convert both the units into cm then, find area

4m = 400cm

8dm = 8000cm

Now, we will find the area

Area of a rectangle = Length X Breadth

Area = 8000 X 400

Hence, the area comes out to be 3.2X10^6
