Answer:

BY PYTHAGORAS THEROEM

5^2 + 12^2= diameter of circle^2

25+144=d^2

169=d^2

d=13 cm and radius = 6.5 cm

So,

Area of circle= pi×r^2

=22/7×6.5×6.5

=132.78 cm^2 (approx)

Area of rectangle =l×b

=5×12 cm^2

=60 cm^2

So,

Area of shaded region:

=: (132.78-60)cm^2

= 72.78 cm^2 (approx)

Answer:

answer is 55.92

Step-by-step explanation:

cos45=6/hpotaneous..... hpotaneous=6/cos45=6√2=radius.

area f circle=πr2=126.08.

area of rectangle=12×5=60

shaded area= 126.08-60=55.92
