Calculate the area of the shaded region from the adjoining figure.

Area of whole figure = 60×50 m^2

= 3000 m^2

Area of the unshaded region ={ (60×6) +( 50×4) -(6×4) }m^2

={ 360 + 200- 24} m^2

= {560 - 24} m^2

= 536 m^2

So the area of the shaded region is

3000 m^2 - 536 m^2

= 2464 m^2
