i)In case of the whole Rectangle,

Length=43m

Breadth=27m

Area=LxB

=43×27

=1161m²

In case of the unshaded Rectangle,

Length=43-(2×1.5)m

=40m

Breadth=27-(2×1)m

=25m

Area=LxB

=40×25

=1000m²

Area of Shaded region=(Area of whole Rectangle)-(Area of unshaded Rectangle)

=1161-1000 m²

=161 m²
