as we know that
atomic mass =no. of neutron +no. of proton in it's nucleus.
let no. of proton is x.
23=x+12
x=23-12=11.
therefore 11 proton will be in that atom's nucleus.
and also as we know that.
no. of proton =atomic number.
therefore atomic number of that atom will be 11.
hence that atom will be sodium (Na)
because sodium's atomic number is 11.
