Change in velocity per unit time is called Acceleration.

Initial velocity ( u) = 0 m/s .
Final velocity ( v) =25 m/s .
Time ( t) = 10 s.

Average acceleration =  \frac {v - u}{t}

= 25 - 0 / 10

= 25/10

= 2.5 m/s²

The average acceleration of the car is 2.5 m/s²

Given :

  • A car changes speed from 0 m/s to 25 m/s in 10 seconds.

To find :

  • What is the average acceleration of a car.

Calculations :

★ Acceleration = Final velocity - Initial velocity/Time.

Calculations :

→ a = v - u/t

→ 25 - 0/10

→ 25/10

→ 2.5 m/s²

Therefore, 2.5 m/s² is the average acceleration of a car.
