calculate the average atomic mass of chlorine if it exist commonly in two isotopes cl = atomic no. 17 , atomic mass. 35 (75%) and cl = atomic no . 17 , atomic mass . 37 (25 %)

Isotope of Chlorine 35/17 is 75 percent.
Isotope of Chlorine 37/17 is 25 percent.

So, the average is,

(35x3 + 37x1)/4

WHICH IS EQUAL TO : 142/4

= 35.5 (Ans.)
