Calculate the average speed (in Km/hr) of Charlie who runs to the store 4 Km away in 30 minutes (0.5hr) ?

Average speed =  distance/time

therefore 4/0.5 = 8 km/h

Speed = distance covered/time taken

Distance covered by charlie = 4km

time taken by charlie = 30 min = 0.5 hr = 5/10 hr

Average speed = \frac{4}{5/10}

= (4*10)/5      (!)                      

=40/5

=8 km/h

Note 1: I used 5/10 in time taken so that I could straight away divide it by other number once equation is formed.

Note 2: I didn't cut 10 by 5 (!) as it is difficult to show it in brainly.
