10*120+10*300=4200metre
total metre covered 4200/2=2100
total time 2+5=7min
avg speed 2100/7*60=5
total metre covered 4200/2=2100
total time 2+5=7min
avg speed 2100/7*60=5

As we all know that,
Average Speed = Total distance traveled/Total time taken..
We have,
S1 = 10m/s
S2 = 10m/s
T1 = 2minutes
T2 = 5minutes
So,we have to find the Distance of D1 and D2
D1 = S1/T1
D1. = 10/2
D1. = 5m
Similarly,
D2 = S2/T2
D2 = 10/5
D2 = 2m.
We have calculated both the distance.
Now,we have distance and time.
So we can easily find the average speed.
By applying the formula,
Average Speed = Total distance traveled/total time taken
A.S = 5 + 2/5+2
A.S = 7/7
A.S = 1m/s.
Therefore, the average speed of the motorists is 1m/s.
Thanks.
