When an object is dropped from a height, its gravitational potential energy is converted to kinetic energy as it falls.

The loss in potential energy will be equal to the gain in kinetic energy.

We can simply calculate the gravitational potential energy lost using the formula Ep=m⋅g⋅h :

⇒Ep=((20)⋅(9.81)⋅(10)) J

=1962 J

Therefore, the maximum kinetic energy attained by the object is 1962 J.
